The Foley Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. They were dealt a 71-35 defeat at the hands of Fairhope. Foley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.
Craig Miller was Foley's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Rashaud Robertson held things down on the boards with five rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Foley's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-26. As for Fairhope, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elberta at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Elberta is ranked 389th, while Foley is ranked 375th). As for Fairhope, they will head out on the road to take on Vigor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
