Prescott is 8-2 against Mingus since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Badgers will host the Marauders at 4:00 p.m. Prescott is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.
Prescott's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Bradshaw Mountain 10-0. Considering the Badgers have won 12 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Adrian Sanderford, who gave up just two hits to keep Bradshaw Mountain off the board. Sanderford has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Prescott got a big performance out of Cooper Magnett, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Ashton Whitwell was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Prescott hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Mingus couldn't beat Prescott on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Marauders came up short against the Badgers, falling 22-8. The loss continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Carter Wacker and Logan Newell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wacker went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Newell went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
Prescott pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Everything went Prescott's way against Mingus when the teams last played on Monday, as Prescott made off with a 22-8 victory. Do the Badgers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marauders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
