Nathan Howard gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Tuesday. He was unstoppable, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has become a key player for Mt. Vernon: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-11 otherwise.
