The Resurrection Bandits will head out on the road to challenge the Fenwick Friars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Resurrection earned an 8-3 victory over Amundsen.

Elizabeth Dorgan made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Molly Reichenberger, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Madison Kruszewski was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Resurrection kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Fenwick hadn't done well against Providence Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Friars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Celtics 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the Friars as they're now sitting on five straight.
Like Resurrection, Fenwick also got a great game from a two-way player: Sofia Kateeb. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Kateeb was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Bella Bigham was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Simon, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Fenwick pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Resurrection, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Resurrection hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Fenwick struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Resurrection beat Fenwick 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bandits since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
