Waupaca had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 54-50 victory over the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds on Tuesday. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 44-42 win the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waupaca will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Wild Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will welcome Loyal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
