Softball Recap: Marionville Has No Trouble Against Spokane

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Marionville and Spokane had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Marionville was the clear victor by a 21-1 margin over Spokane on Thursday. The game marked the Comets' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Annaliyah Ghan was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Holder, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base.

Marionville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spokane only posted an OBP of .364.

The win got Marionville back to even at 3-3. As for Spokane, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marionville will square off against Exeter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spokane, they will challenge Crane at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
