Even though the Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders have not done well against the Union Grove Christian Patriots recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cramerton Christian Academy strolled past the Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 40-22. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cramerton Christian Academy.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sara Long, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and three steals. Long is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.
Cramerton Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Union Grove Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cramerton Christian Academy will square off against the Mariners at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Pointe Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Crusaders in their respective states (the Mariners are ranked 191st in South Carolina, while the Crusaders are ranked 397th in North Carolina). As for Union Grove Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
