Incline has gone 8-2 against Silver Stage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Highlanders will head out to square off against the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. Silver Stage took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Incline, who comes in off a win.
Incline let Sierra Lutheran stack four runs on them in the fifth inning on Saturday but luckily Incline prevailed anyway. The Highlanders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Highlanders have posted since April 15, 2025.
Zephyr Denton made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Denton was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Andrew Bodel was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Baron Younger II also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Incline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Silver Stage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to Yerington.
Silver Stage saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blayne Baratti Butler, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Incline's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Silver Stage, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Everything went Incline's way against Silver Stage when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Incline made off with a 9-0 victory. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Nighthawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
