Eastmoor Academy is 0-10 against South since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eastmoor Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the South Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Eastmoor Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Centennial, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastmoor Academy.
James Nowell was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 18 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Eastmoor Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of King Moody, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, South got the win against Ponitz Career Tech on Saturday by a conclusive 65-45.
South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Stokes out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lajames Washington, who scored 15 points.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Eastmoor Academy's win pushed their record up to 2-0, while Centennial's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-2.
Eastmoor Academy lost to South on the road by a decisive 74-58 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Eastmoor Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
