The Hanks Knights came tearing into Friday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Ysleta as Hanks made off with a 54-32 victory. Hanks has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Hanks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daisy Fernandez led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax (e) alva, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Hanks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Ysleta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-17.
Hanks will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bel Air at 7:30 p.m. Bel Air is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road. As for Ysleta, they will face off against Parkland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Parkland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday.
