It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lexington Minutemen with a sharp 14-8 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tornadoes considering their two-run performance the game before.

Columbian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Lexington, they dropped their record down to 12-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
As of now, neither Columbian nor the Minutemen have any future games scheduled.
