The Washington County Golden Hawks fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. Everything went their way against Butler on Friday as Washington County made off with a 41-20 win. That's another feather in the cap for Washington County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Cameron Beasley, who threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns. Ka'Monta Durden did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 104 receiving yards.
Washington County's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Butler, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington County will take on Josey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Josey comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Butler, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
