The Wahluke Warriors are on the road again on Friday and play against the Toppenish Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Wahluke will be strutting in after a victory while Toppenish will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Wahluke strolled past Kiona-Benton with points to spare, taking the game 21-6. The win was just what Wahluke needed coming off of a 28-7 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Toppenish's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Zillah 12-6.
Wahluke's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Toppenish, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Wahluke took a serious blow against Toppenish in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, falling 59-7. Thankfully for Wahluke, Joshua N perez (who threw for 379 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
