The Wells Leopards are taking a road trip to  take on the Carlin Railroaders  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
 Wells is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Nevada's top teams: Mineral County, who was ranked second  in their home state at the time (Wells was ranked 12th). Wells was  outmatched by Mineral County at home  and fell  52-24. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  38-12.
 Meanwhile, Carlin hadn't done well against Pyramid Lake recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Carlin put the hurt on Pyramid Lake with a sharp  54-30 victory. The Railroaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Leo Krantz was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 55 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 129 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. Carlin also got a significant boost from  Dylan Ramirez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 101 yards.
 Wells' defeat was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Carlin,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-1.
 Wells was taken down by Carlin 42-12 in their previous meeting  back in August. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wells was down  30-6.
