The Woodsboro Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 76-68 win over Austwell-Tivoli. The win was just what Woodsboro needed coming off of a 70-46 defeat in their prior match.
Woodsboro found their leader in underclassman Amarian Zambezi, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Garcia, who scored 16 points.
Woodsboro's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Austwell-Tivoli, the last time they won on the road was back two weeks ago. Having now lost three straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 0-3.
Woodsboro will square off against Falls City at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Falls City and Woodsboro are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. Austwell-Tivoli's road trip will continue as they head out to face Corpus Christi United at 9:00 a.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Corpus Christi United focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
