The Silver Lake Mustangs stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-16 win over Wilcox-Hildreth on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-7.
Silver Lake was led to victory by Tayten Menke and Jordan Faimon. Menke scored 13 points along with two steals, while Faimon scored 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Lane Conway, who scored five points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wilcox-Hildreth struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Silver Lake racked up 15 assists.
Silver Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Lake and Lawrence-Nelson will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lawrence-Nelson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
