There's no place like home for Deshler, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Colbert Heights Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Deshler easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Olivia Adams paced Deshler's offense, picking up 12 kills. Adams got some help from Makayla Willingham and her 20 assists. Finally, Julia Petty kept Deshler's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Deshler's victory bumped their record up to 34-10. As for Colbert Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-14 record this season.

Deshler has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Florence on the 9th. As for Colbert Heights, they will challenge Colbert County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
