After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cambria Heights, The Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays were happy to have found some success on Friday. Everything went their way against Homer-Center as Conemaugh Valley made off with a 50-29 win.
Devin Chontas was a one-man wrecking crew for Conemaugh Valley as he rushed for 254 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Chontas hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. Conemaugh Valley also got a significant boost from Tom Stiffler, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 137 yards.
Conemaugh Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Homer-Center, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Conemaugh Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Homer-Center also has no future games currently scheduled.
