Basketball Game Preview: Pretty Prairie Bulldogs vs. Udall Eagles

Pretty Prairie is 1-6 against Udall since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Udall Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Pretty Prairie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.

Back in December of 2024, Pretty Prairie came up short against Bucklin and fell 59-48. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite their defeat, Pretty Prairie saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Eli Young, who posted ten points and six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Those six boards gave Young a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan W Young, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Udall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 86-53 loss at the hands of Cedar Vale/Dexter.

Like Pretty Prairie, Udall lost despite seeing results from several players. Isaac Johnson led the charge by going 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Hornecker, who put up 13 points and three steals.

Udall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pretty Prairie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Pretty Prairie has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Udall struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Pretty Prairie couldn't quite finish off Udall in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 60-57. Can Pretty Prairie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
