Colonial Beach will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against King & Queen Central on Thursday. Colonial Beach was the clear victor by a 23-12 margin over King & Queen Central. The victory continues a trend for the Drifters in their matchups with the Royal Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Colonial Beach got a massive performance out of Zayna Wolfe, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Wolfe a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Belle Cooke, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Fredericksburg Christian blew past Westmoreland 10-2. Considering Fredericksburg Christian has won three games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Scarlett Whittaker made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Rylie Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Haylie Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Fredericksburg Christian pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Colonial Beach, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Colonial Beach took their win against Fredericksburg Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2015 by a conclusive 23-5. Will Colonial Beach repeat their success, or does Fredericksburg Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
