This season hasn't been kind to the Desert Christian Knights, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 78-56 walloping at the hands of Arvin on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Arvin found their leader in underclassman Xzavier Pierson-Brooks, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allen Stone, who scored 13 points.
Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Arvin, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Desert Christian will square off against Immanuel Christian at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Arvin, they will head out on the road to face off against Hesperia Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Hesperia Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Friday.
