Miller Career Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meadowdale.
Zhieyah Rolack continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Meadowdale, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Rolack has scored at least 25% of Meadowdale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Walker, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Miller Career Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Meadowdale, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Miller Career Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carnahan at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Meadowdale is on the road again on Thursday and play against Belmont at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Belmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 721st, while Meadowdale is ranked 289th).
