The Arroyo Dons will face off against the Healdsburg Greyhounds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arroyo will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Arroyo proved they can win big last Monday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past San Leandro 7-5.

Jered Montenegro was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Justin Darosa was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Justin Nelson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.
Arroyo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Healdsburg rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bruins.
Healdsburg also got a great performance from Eric Nielsen as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Nielsen has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nova Perrill, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Isaiah Robles was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Healdsburg is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Arroyo, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.
