Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Bear Grass Charter proved on Tuesday. They came out on top against Cape Hatteras by a score of 48-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bear Grass Charter.
Bear Grass Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carolina Harrell led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harrell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hylee (Al) Jarrett, who scored 13 points.
Ocracoke bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Bear Grass Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
