After losing to the East Granby Crusaders the last time they met, the East Windsor Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. East Windsor came out on top against East Granby by a score of 30-23 on Thursday.
East Windsor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nohely Santana, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five steals. Santana is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Izzy Bancroft was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
East Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for East Granby, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Windsor will take on Ellington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellington will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something East Windsor surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Granby, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Granby Memorial at 6:45 p.m. East Granby is coming into the game with five straight defeats at home, meaning Granby Memorial will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
