Baseball Recap: Seminole Ridge Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Seminole Ridge not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2025 (when they won 10-0). Everything went their way against the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars as they made off with a 12-6 win. With that victory, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Anthony Febles looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kane Decker and Brandon Turner did most of the damage at the plate: Decker went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Turner got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Decker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael Riaboukha, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Seminole Ridge, bringing their record up to 3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Seminole Ridge will challenge Royal Palm Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they will square off against King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
