The biggest upset of the week belonged to Richardton-Taylor/Hebron, who took down 28th ranked Killdeer/Halliday, 41-7.
Hazen was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in A Region 4. Earlier in the week, the Bison defeated Grant County/Flasher 48-16.
The Coyotes' dynamic duo of Taylor Krenz and Dustin Iverson proved tough for Hazen to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Krenz threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns and Iverson had 55 yards receiving. JW Froelich helped Grant County/Flasher's passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
Seth Ewoniuk was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 227 yards on 22 carries as Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] lost to Rick Philion's team. Cole Hecker also contributed to the rushing game with 94 yards on the ground.
Jamie Krenz's team's Krenz and Zackary Schmidt have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Krenz has thrown for 1055 yards this season, while Schmidt, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 27 catches for 410 yards. Ewoniuk from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 1292 yards.
The Bison extended the longest winning streak in A Region 4 this week by beating the Coyotes, 48-16. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
