Upper Perkiomen barely beat Norristown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Upper Perkiomen put the hurt on Norristown with a sharp 8-1 victory on Thursday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Cole Pierce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Upper Perkiomen let Ben Godshall and Stephen Mumford run wild. Godshall scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Mumford went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was Mumford's first of the season.
Pottsgrove not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024. Everything went their way against Pottstown as Pottsgrove made off with a 7-1 victory.
The team relied heavily on Luke Tyson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Owen Mountz was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Upper Perkiomen's record now sits at 4-1. As for Pottsgrove, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Upper Perkiomen's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. Upper Perkiomen has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Pottsgrove, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Upper Perkiomen continue to outrun the ball?
Upper Perkiomen couldn't quite get it done against Pottsgrove in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can Upper Perkiomen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
