The Silex Owls will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Louisiana Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Silex, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-36 loss to Clopton. While losing is never fun, Silex can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Clopton is ranked 78th).
Meanwhile, Louisiana scored the most points they've had all season to find success on January 5th. They walked away with a 66-58 victory over Winfield. The win made it back-to-back wins for Louisiana.
Silex's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Louisiana, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Silex was able to grind out a solid victory over Louisiana in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 64-57. Will Silex repeat their success, or does Louisiana have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
