Volleyball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Triumphs

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy won the last time they faced Kell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Longhorns. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

While Mt. Bethel Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20.

Sam Karel paced Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Karel got some help from Anslee Balachowski and her nine assists. Karel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rilee Wells, who had 14 digs. Wells has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played. Gracie Barrett also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 24-18. As for Kell, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-17.

Coincidentally, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and Kell will both be playing Cass the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Colonels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Longhorns will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
