Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Divine Savior Academy Sharks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. Their rough 42-18 loss to the Rams on Monday might stick with them for a while. Divine Savior Academy has not had much luck with David Posnack Jewish Day recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Divine Savior Academy still got an impressive performance from Sofia Mueller, who scored three points along with 16 rebounds and two steals.
David Posnack Jewish Day found their leader in underclassman Sophia Klein, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. Klein also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Azafrani, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Divine Savior Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Divine Savior Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they will face off against Ransom Everglades at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully David Posnack Jewish Day focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Monday.
