The Harriman Blue Devils were the 40-24 winner over the Oliver Springs Bobcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Harriman took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oliver Springs. Harriman has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Harriman saw an underclassman step up: Ansley Moore scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds. Moore scored a full 48% of Harriman's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lexi Rose was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Harriman's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Oliver Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harriman will take on Sunbright at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Oliver Springs and Wartburg Central will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Wartburg Central is ranked 281st, while Oliver Springs is ranked 270th).
