The King's Ridge Christian Tigers won the last time they faced the Whitefield Academy WolfPack, and things went their way on Tuesday too. King's Ridge Christian came out on top against the WolfPack by a score of 62-50. Given King's Ridge Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the WolfPack are ranked 398th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
King's Ridge Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zeplin Kidd, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Charles Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
King's Ridge Christian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Whitefield Academy, they dropped their record down to 8-15 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Ridge Christian will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Francis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Atlanta International is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
