The United Longhorns can now show off 17 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Laredo LBJ 62-18 on the road. Given United's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Wolves are ranked 1261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jesslynn Jalomo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with six steals and five assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Escamilla, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
United is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season. As for Laredo LBJ, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-25.
United will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Laredo LBJ does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
