The Havelock Rams will head out to face off against the D.H. Conley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
D.H. Conley is hoping to do what West Carteret couldn't last Friday: put an end to Havelock's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Havelock came out on top against West Carteret by a score of 72-63.

Jaylen Hewitt was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.3 blocks per game. Chris Strong was another key player, going 9 for 17 on his way to 23 points.
Havelock was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, D.H. Conley came up short against Martin County on Saturday and fell 66-57. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Gators are ranked 204th).
Havelock will need focus on slowing down Samari Cabell, one of several D.H. Conley players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Cabell continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Hill, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.
D.H. Conley's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Havelock, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Havelock hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.9 points per game. However, it's not like D.H. Conley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 56.7 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Havelock strolled past D.H. Conley in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 59-45. Does Havelock have another victory up their sleeve, or will D.H. Conley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
