Basketball Recap: West Field Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jordan Harrison and Jaden Fowers

West Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 53-34 bruising from the Mountain Crest Mustangs. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 53-40.

Despite the loss, West Field had strong showings from Jaden Fowers, who posted nine points and five boards, and Jordan Harrison, who had five points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Harrison has posted since back in December of 2024.

Mountain Crest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Niko Dimitricoff, who went 6 for 12 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Cardon, who put up 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

West Field's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Mountain Crest, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Field will venture away from home to square off against Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeline will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something West Field surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain Crest, they are taking a road trip to face off against Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Crest is facing Logan at the right time seeing as Logan is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
