Make it four blowout wins for the Hershey Panthers this season. They really took it to Sutherland for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-28 win at home. The win was nothing new for Hershey as they're now sitting on three straight.
Hershey was led to victory by Payton Jones and Emma Hall. Jones scored 12 points along with two steals, while Hall scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ali Vaughn, who scored eight points.
Despite the defeat, Sutherland saw an underclassman step up: Eliana Dyer scored nine points.
Hershey has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Sutherland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Hershey will take on Perkins County at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perkins County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Sutherland, they will face off against St. Patrick's at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Patrick's has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
