Basketball Game Preview: Westside Seminoles vs. Mundy's Mill Tigers

The Westside Seminoles and the Mundy's Mill Tigers will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Westside is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 69-35 victory over Northeast. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Seminoles have posted since January 3rd.

Westside relied on the efforts of Domonique Billue, who went 9 for 16 on her way to 21 points in addition to six steals and five boards, and Destiny Spencer, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 21 boards. Spencer has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Talton, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Westside was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, Mundy's Mill entered their tilt with Forest Park on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Panthers 65-20. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Westside's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mundy's Mill, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Westside beat Mundy's Mill 37-26 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Westside repeat their success, or does Mundy's Mill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
