The Citrus Hill Hawks waltzed into their game Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tahquitz and snuck past 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Citrus Hill was led to victory by Jerren White and Roland Thibodeaux. White dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Thibodeaux scored 27 points along with nine rebounds. White hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Alaric "AJ" Hayes was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Citrus Hill's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Tahquitz, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Citrus Hill is on the road again on Thursday and play against West Valley at 5:15 p.m. on January 11th. As for Tahquitz, they will be playing at home against Perris at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Perris is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
