The Carlin Railroaders lost against the Owyhee Braves two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Carlin was beaten by Owyhee 61-14.
Dishaun George-Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Owyhee, scoring 28 points. Bisaapi Melendez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Carlin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Carlin will head out on the road to take on Wells at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Carlin is ranked 113th, while Wells is ranked 91st). As for Owyhee, they will be playing at home against McDermitt at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully McDermitt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
