Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, Calif.) put up seven points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 37-14 victory over
Walnut (Calif.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Conquerors were up 21-14 at the half.
Los Altos expanded its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. LA scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal by
Manny Medina.
The Hacienda Heights school came into the game allowing 15.1 points per game. Walnut's 14 points were below their season average of 17.1 per game.
The Conquerors also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-7.
The loss was the third in a row for Walnut. With the win Los Altos extended its winning streak to three games.
Walnut (2-6) goes up against Diamond Ranch in a Hacienda game matchup next week, while Los Altos (7-1) locks horns with Bonita also in a Hacienda game.
