Ridgeland-Hardeeville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-19.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jabien Harris, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquise Johnson, who scored ten points.
Mykeem Gant was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Colleton County. Gant continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Melvin Powell, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Colleton County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Airport at 7:30 p.m. on December 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Airport is ranked 202nd, while Ridgeland-Hardeeville is ranked 227th). Colleton County will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Collins Hill at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
