One of them was Tyson Smith, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Smith is becoming a predictor of the Cougars' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
The victory got Country Christian back to even at 7-7. As for St. Paul, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.
