The Expression Prep Academy Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mountain Mission Challengers at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. In what's become a running theme this season, Expression Prep Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 88-63 margin over Bloomingdale. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Expression Prep Academy has posted since December 18, 2023.
Jace Coats was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Jackson Childers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Mountain Mission pushed their score all the way to 75 back in December of 2023, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Union by a score of 78-75. Mountain Mission has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Abel Mesfin, who scored 32 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Imani Chacha, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Expression Prep Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. As for Mountain Mission, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Saturday's match is shaping up to be a blowout: Expression Prep Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 81.6 points per game. It's a different story for Mountain Mission, though, as they've been averaging only 71.8 points per game.
