The St. Francis Spartans lost against the Glenbard West Hilltoppers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. St. Francis took a 53-37 bruising from Glenbard West. St. Francis has not had much luck with Glenbard West recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why St. Francis lost, one person who can't be blamed is Natalie Doyle. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with three steals. Doyle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was T?a Rubino, who scored seven points along with two steals.
St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Glenbard West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will challenge Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fenwick is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Glenbard West, they will head out on the road to challenge York at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
