Bishop Luers suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after beating Bishop Dwenger. The Knights had been ranked 24th, but fell to 30.
Snider extended the longest winning streak in Summit this week by beating Wayne, 34-3. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
South Side's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trae Masten threw for 41 and two touchdowns and Devon Jones had 34 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Thomas chipped in 168 yards. Thomas helped South Side's passing attack out by catching two balls for seven yards.
The Saints' Cody Miller and Ryan Watercutter have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 503 yards this season, while Watercutter, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 18 catches for 291 yards. Donovan Clark from the Archers leads the league in rushing with 1000 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Northrop takes on North Side. The Bruins are in fourth place, while the Redskins are in second place.
South Side took down Wallace 74-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Thomas in the win.
