Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Asheville T). They blew past the Asheville School (Independent) Blues 18-4 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jack Kinavy-Roesberry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kinavy-Roesberry was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. He is becoming a predictor of Asheville T's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Asheville T got a massive performance out of Gage Flowers, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Corin Davis, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
