While Trinity Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Humboldt Vikings on Friday as the Trinity Christian Academy Lions made off with a 63-41 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tori Robinson led the charge by going 7 of 13 on her way to 22 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ingle, who posted seven points along with 15 rebounds and six blocks.

Trinity Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive matchups.

Trinity Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Humboldt, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Humboldt, they will venture away from home to take on Haywood at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
