The Navarro Panthers were the 64-58 winner over the Wimberley Texans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Navarro took a hard 48-32 fall against the Texans on Friday. Navarro has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Navarro lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tegan Harborth. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 46.9% of Navarro's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 23-12. As for Wimberley, their victory bumped their record up to 21-15.
Navarro will be playing at home against the Indians/Squaws at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Jourdanton is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Wimberley, they will square off against the at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon Lake has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
