The Modesto Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 66-35 loss at the hands of Ripon Christian. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Modesto in their matchups with Ripon Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Ripon Christian was led to victory by Jace Beidleman and Jake Vander Veen. Beidleman scored 15 points, while Vander Veen scored 15 points. The match was Vander Veen's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Trey Van Groningen was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Modesto has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Ripon Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Modesto will be home for the holidays to greet Tokay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tokay is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Ripon Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Sierra at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sierra has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 222 points over their last three contests.
